I went again on Saturday and experienced really outstanding service.

I've got to say I don't agree with you on the food. Everything I've had on both visits was truly exceptional. Yes, there are a lot of spices, but that's Moroccan for you. The pate was very salty - but other than that - perfection.

Maybe you'll go back and give it another try. I'm guessing you may have a different experience. Don't miss the olives Moroccais or the soup or the lamb tagine.

Good luck with it - HollyAbout Holly Herrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00677382492254190528noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3127316925670240913.post-67572997435755984262007-11-18T12:57:00.000-08:002007-11-18T12:57:00.000-08:00I am sincerely suprised to see such a glowing rev...I am sincerely suprised to see such a glowing review of Fez by a Charleston cuisine classic. I recently visited Fez and was more than dissappointed. The initial ambiance is inviting. The rustic metal meets red moroccan themed dining area is sexy and chic. The wine list and menu are cleverly and carefully designed in a "french moroccan" theme. They manage to blend french classics such as duck pate` with moroccan themed items such as their tangines and moroccan mussles. The theme is flawless, service phenomenal; kitchen execution is, however, lackluster. Dinner is littered with overspiced moroccan entrees, oversalted leeks, and underimpressive cuisine. The staff is knowledgeable and polite. That is, perhaps, the only thing that can save this establishment.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13438976348134200597noreply@blogger.com
